What this is, in plain words
A small watcher runs on your computer: when you edit a Word document in one of your indexed folders, a markdown copy is saved right next to it automatically — that's the copy Chevy reads. You keep working in Word like normal; the markdown is generated, never edited by hand, and editing it never touches the Word file. This page doesn't do the syncing — it just shows you the honest status: what's mirrored, when each document last synced, and the real reason if anything failed.
This is one half of your vault's memory: Doc Sync keeps your documents readable; Prop Index maps how those same folders' files connect.
Every Word document in your indexed folders gets an auto-generated markdown twin next to it — you keep editing the Word doc, Chevy always has a current markdown copy to read. One-directional only: the Word doc is the source of truth, the markdown is a generated copy. Nothing here is edited by hand.
