Tasks

One list of every checkbox you've written in any note, anywhere in your vault folders. A line like - [ ] follow up with client in a client file, a daily note, anywhere — it shows up here automatically. You never copy tasks anywhere; the note you wrote them in is where they live.

The list is grouped the way your vault is: first by vault folder, then by the note each task lives in — the note's path shows above its group. Open tasks show by default; tick Show done to include finished ones (struck through). Checking a task off here ticks the real checkbox in the real note. Add a due date by ending a task with (due: 2026-08-01) — amber means due today, red means overdue. Tasks written inside Word documents show up too, via their markdown mirrors (the Word mirror badge) — checking those off edits the mirror, never the Word file.
