A free script on your computer watches the folders below and keeps a connection map — a “graph” — of your files and how they relate. Small changes rebuild automatically; a bigger re-mapping waits for your go-ahead so it never spends money without asking. When Chevy needs to know how things connect, it queries this map instead of re-reading every file — faster and cheaper.
The same watched folders power Doc Sync, which keeps readable markdown mirrors of your Word documents right next to them — Doc Sync feeds the files; Prop Index maps them.

Watching another folder
Adding a folder is a config change, not a button (a real one-click add flow is future work). The honest path today: add the folder to the local indexer's watch list, run one indexing pass so its map gets built, then restart the watchers. Ask Chevy in chat — “start watching this folder” — and it can make those edits for you.
