new notes, from your own templates

What this is, in plain words

Templates are fill-in-the-blanks note starters. Each one is a plain markdown file in a _Templates folder inside your vault — drop a new .md file in there and it appears in the list on the left, no setup. Pick a template, give the new note a title, fill in the blanks it asks for, and Chevy writes a brand-new note into the folder you choose.

Your two right now: Daily Note makes today's dated journal page (top 3, notes, captures — the dates fill themselves in), and Listing starts a new property sheet with the address, MLS#, status, and price fields ready to fill. In the preview, colored badges are the blanks: blue is the title (also the filename), green fills in automatically with today's date, and amber is a blank you type into below. Vault = which of your watched folders the note belongs to; destination folder = exactly where inside that vault the new note lands (blank = the vault's top level).
